Necessary Things:
- Some creative time, alone with your thoughts!
Step 1:
So my dear friend Rachel just got back from a writer's work shop and I asked her to share what she learned about writing a good love letter. It appears that there were a lot of MEN that attended this work shop and it was very, very telling... So let's take note of some of the steps we need to know when writing those special thoughts to someone.
Step 2:
Step #1:You can write a Love Letter to anyone. That's right. You dont have to have a girlfriend or boyfriend to write a love letter. You can write a letter to your children or even to yourself...Hmmmm, Dear "ME!" The point that Rachel is trying to make is that you can have your letter directed at anyone in your life that you want to share your feelings with. It's not always about the girl or the guy in your life; it's about the love in your life. And if you are having trouble identifying a person; write one to ME! I can never have enough love in my life.
Step 3:
STEP#2 Memories. the best Love letters are always going to bring up a past event. A loving memory of something you have done with that person that will spark a little romance and laughter. NEVER bring up any unresolved issues or drama in a love letter. Keep it honest, and authentic.
Step 4:
Step#3: Hand Write It! I know, this one is a killer. It's tough for me to even read my own handwriting. I am worse than a doctor writing a perscription, but I get what Rachel is saying in this video. Writing it out makes it personal and you can't get that message accross when you type it out on a word document... Which also reminds me to tell you; NO EMAIL. To get the best results, write it out and mail the card or note using regular mail.
Tips and Tricks:
- Remember, a good Love Letter is like a Woman's Skirt: Short enough to hold your attention, long enough to cover the subject...
