This month, learn about a pregnant girlfriend and father’s rights to custody.

Question:

Question or Comment: My
girlfriend is about to give birth. I feel that she is mentally and emotionally
unstable. We have been trying to stay together for the past 3 years and it’s
been a rocky road. Our relationship was on the mend when we discovered she was
pregnant. I have been more than helpful and patient during this time.

However, right now, my girlfriend is being very dramatic and
hyper- sensitive to anything I am saying or doing. Recently, she has kicked me
out of the house and accused me of being on drugs, which I am not. I am happy
to do a drug test to prove this, however, I am more worried for my unborn child
and need to know that my child is going to be safe.

I am a 37-year old, college
educated, mature man. I have a stable job and income. I want to take
responsibility for my actions and do my part to raise this child in a healthy
environment. I need to know my child custody rights and take the proper legal
measures to ensure this child has a presence in my life.

Answer:

I am very concerned about the
safety of your child from what I have read in your question. It is important to
remember that you have rights as a father even if you are not married to your
child’s mother and it is definitely not silly for you to try your hardest to do
what is best for your child. You should contact a family law attorney who is
experienced in complex paternity cases to help protect your child. I highly
recommend that you contact attorney Andrey Filipowicz at (312) 407-6825, as he
has fought tirelessly for years for the rights of unwed fathers and will fight
his heart out for you and your child if you retain his services.

If your girlfriend is unable to
take care of your child and may be a danger to your child then you should
immediately discuss this with your attorney and take appropriate and timely
action. Do not give up hope, the correct attorney can advise you on the best
possible strategy ensure that your child is safe and being cared for properly.
He can help you analyze petitioning the Court for custody of your child and for
a psychological evaluation of the child’s mother.

It is important that you act
quickly so that you can do everything possible to make sure that your child has
a safe and happy childhood. Call attorney Andrey Filipowicz regarding your case
and for more information on what your rights are as a father and other family
