Introduction (Summary)
SingleDad.com and Icyou.com talk about Calcium Scoring as an important way to detect the early stages of clogging arteries.
Necessary Things:
Step 1:
All men over the age of 35 should read this. As the statistics are showing the rise of heart disease in American males over the age of 35, there are now new ways of detecting early stages of build up around our arteries. I recently discovered a new test called the “calcium score†on my last physical and I am compelled to share it with all SingleDad members. Now, I want to make sure I disclose to all readers that this form of testing may not be covered by all health insurance programs at the present time; but that doesn’t mean that this test is inaccessible without a little effort and persistence. “Cardiac calcium scoring uses a special X-ray called a computed tomography (CT) scan to find the buildup of calcium on the walls of the arteries of the heart.â€
Step 2:
My dear friends at www.Icyou.com have provided a video of this procedure so that we can all be aware of the benefits of this procedure. This test involves an additional cat scan to detect any early stages of artery build up that cannot be detected in your standard, annual physical. I have my scan scheduled this month and I will keep you posted on my results and costs associated with the scan. Take a look at the attached video, and for more information, please feel free to email me or log onto the Icyou.com website link provided below.
