Introduction (Summary)

SingleDad.com talks about School nutrition and why it is every Dads duty to know how to teach our children to eat healthy.

Necessary Things:

  • Dad & Family committed to stop Child Obesity!

Step 1:

Health Tip: School Nutrition This video is brought to you from my friends at icyou.com.

Step 2:

This video shows better ways on how to prepare healthy meals for our children at school. Let’s face it, Child Obesity is growing problem in America and it’s not going away any time soon. When it comes to school nutrition; not all schools are doing the best job that they can on feeding our children healthy meals.

Step 3:

As parents, we all need to be reminded and educated on how to feed our children healthy meals. As a Single Parent on a tight budget, some of these tips proved to be very helpful and economical for me to incorporate in my kids lunches. Daily portions of dairy, fruit, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins can come from a variety of everyday “kid friendly” foods sources.

Step 4:

For the dairy items, I like to use string cheese and low fat pudding. For the fruits I like to use the “dry” cereal combined with some dried fruits as my own version of “trail mix”. I think what is important to share is having your children prepare the snacks and school lunches with you. Educate them and improvise the menu to fit their taste buds without junk food being an option. I would have never known that my kids like to “combo” carrots and celery in their lunch bags and how they each design their own “trail mixes” using the cereal we already have at home with nut mix.

Step 5:

Anyways, my SingleDad advice is to take a look at this video and keep our children involved with their school lunch preparation. For more information, log on to www.Tcyou.com and learn more about Family health.
