Richard “RJ” Jaramillo - Founder & President
RJ’s experience as a single father of three, his entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and business acumen helped him create SingleDad, Inc. and establish the foundation for SingleDad.com
Started in late 2007, SingleDad.com is the first comprehensive online resource developed exclusively for single dads. While facing the daily challenges of raising three children on his own, RJ realized how few resources were available to help him during this journey. Recognizing the need, and having a desire to help other single dads, RJ created this dynamic online community.
As Founder of SingleDad, RJ is responsible for the corporation’s overall strategic direction as well as the day-to-day operations. He identifies and develops relationships with vendors, advertising partners and experts, and actively contributes to the editorial and design components of the site.
Prior to starting SingleDad, RJ spent 18 years in the mortgage industry working at the senior management level in the corporate environment. Currently, RJ also manages a small mortgage consulting group with a presence in San Diego, Waikiki and Palm Desert.
Additionally, RJ is a managing partner of BellaDia Design Group, which provides entry-level graphic design applications for small business owners.
In 1999, RJ established “My First Fish”, a non-profit corporation that worked in collaboration with a local downtown shelter to enable homeless families the opportunity to venture outside the city limits and experience a day of fishing.
RJ received his Bachelor of Arts in Business from San Diego State University.
