Step 1:
RJ and SingleDad members, Man I gotta tell ya, eating at a nice restaurant last night made me miss the olden days and my previous life as a Corporate Zombie with a bottomless expense account!
Step 2:
So first things first. I know it wasn't my kids' first time in a revolving door, but... they made the best of it! And wow I can't remember the last time I ate somewhere that had no playland or 'supersize' menu! A welcome change. Not to mention the most sophisticated kids' activity books I've ever tackled! Er, I mean, so the kids said...
Step 3:
Yet still plenty for the kids to choose from on the 'Minnows Menu'... Mac-n-Cheese (with Ziti), French Green Beans, Popcorn Shrimp, and Potatos Au Gratin all from the kids' menu... While Huge Tempura Shrimp and Filet Mignon were more to Dad's liking... and we all sampled all of it, family style! I truly can't remember the last time I ate so good.
Step 4:
The atmosphere was just right as well. Not too quiet, with small groups socializing, mild lighting and lots of hard wood to make the place very cozy. A nice family joint. And since embarrassing my kids becomes more of a challenge every day, I'll state for the record that Ezra was admittedly smitten with our hostess, while Sophie's quiet smirk and blush in response to my inquiry "So was our waiter cute, Baby?" was as much an admission as if she'd point blank said 'Yes'!!!
