Traveling Dad: 3 Great Spring Travel Adventures

Single Dads like to travel – sometimes with their buddies, but they also love to travel with their kiddos. Now that spring is upon us, it’s time for a little spring break adventure – not like when you were in college – but you can still have plenty of fun and adventure.

Traveling is a great way to bond with your children – you get to focus all your energy on them, and you get to have some exciting and memorable adventures with them!

This month, we review three of the best places to enjoy your spring travel. Pack your bags, and get the kids ready for a fun, family spring break!

Bryce, Zion and Arches National Parks in Utah

If you’ve never been to Utah, you may think it’s not an ideal place for an adventure. Well, think again. Utah has five incredible national parks, and here we suggest three of them on one fantastic trip.

If you start the trip in Zion National Park, you will amazed at the miles of untamed natural beauty, carved by years of water, wind, and geological mayhem. Visit Kolob Arch, which just might be the world’s largest natural arch (spanning 310 feet).

There is no place quite like Bryce Canyon National Park – forests mixed with odd-shaped pillars of rock (hoodoos), which were formed by the forces of erosion. If you have the time, take in a sunrise or sunset from a scenic viewpoint -the view from the upper lookout at Inspiration Point is unbeatable!

Finish the trip in Arches National Park, which as its name suggests, contains the largest concentration of natural sandstone arches in the world. Soaring rock pinnacles, colossal sandstone arches, and massive balanced rocks create an astonishing landscape. You can even take bicycle adventures throughout the parks, which is a fantastic way to experience the beautiful outdoors!

Cabo San Lucas

Hiking through beautiful western scenery not your style? How about a trip to tropical Cabo San Lucas at the tip of Baja California?

Traveling Dad

For the Single Dad with his kids, there’s plenty to do in Cabo. Take a trip to Land’s End for snorkeling, go whale watching, or marvel at gorgeous sunsets. You can also sail on a pirate ship, take a zipline over the desert arroyos, or just build sand castles on a spectacular beach. Family fun in a tropical climate – what a way to bond with your kids!

North Carolina

Don’t want to hit the western trails or soak up some sun on a tropical beach? Well, we have one more place on our list for an exciting spring break: North Carolina.

From the highest mountains on the east coast in the Great Smoky Mountains to 300 miles of beaches along the Outer Banks, North Carolina has plenty of scenic beauty. Drive along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, or enjoy a day at the beach on Cape Hatteras, the country’s first national seashore,. You can also visit Civil War trails and historic sites, lighthouses, and even go white water rafting in the western part of the state.

Traveling Dad

Whether you choose Utah, Cabo San Lucas, or North Carolina, you’ll be sure to enjoy a memorable family vacation that the kids will remember for a lifetime!
