Get
Ready For The Warm Weather – Spring Cleaning For Your Body

Here comes the sun…are you ready?
Shedding all those winters clothes means you have to be summer-wear ready. Now
that the multiple layers of clothes are gone, perhaps it’s time to do a little
grooming that you may have let slide during the frigid winter months.

Spring cleaning isn’t just for your
home any more…it’s also for grooming your body so it looks its best when sun
is out and the heavy clothes are back in the closet.

Here are a few tips to get your
grooming on, and to look your best for the spring and summer months.

Fear the Beard

Style and Grooming

Looking like a Viking explorer
during the winter months may be cool, but when the spring comes, it’s best to
lose the scruff
. Sure, the designer stubble look may be sexy, and it can add a
slightly dangerous and even dashing look to your appearance. To keep this tame
yet tantalizing look, you may have to shave every few days (depending on how
fast your beard grows); purchasing a pair of clippers (similar to the kind used
by hairdressers) allows you to trim without shaving all the way down to the
skin. Any more beard than this and you may look like you’re ready to invade
Iceland.

Lose the Locks

Style and Grooming

Ok, some people do look great with
long, flowing locks, but for most of us, long hair means we look like a mad
scientist who stuck his hand in a light socket. If you’ve let your hair get
just a bit unruly this winter, the spring calls for a little tasteful trimming.
A fade cut works great for the spring – you can stay neat and professional at
work by using gel to slick it back, or you can use a little cream to push it
off to the side and drive the ladies wild with your sexy new look.

Smell Like a Man, But Not Too Much
Like a Man

Style and Grooming

According to research, our sense of
smell is heightened in the spring. Research also shows that a woman’s sense of
smell is better than a man’s. If you
stink, she’ll know! Though scent is an integral part of sexual attraction,
we’re not animals, and our smells should be muted, to say the least. The spring
means you should replace musk-based scents with fruit-based ones. Japanese
researchers say that citrus scents make women more energetic, so you might want
to go with something like Tom Ford, with hints of lime, orange, and lemon; or Midnight In Paris by
Van Cleef & Arpels. Because the same cologne will
smell different on two people, make sure to try it before you buy it! Don’t
overdo it – just a spritz or two on your neck or wrist will do the trick.

Free the Feet

Style and Grooming

Are your feet so scary that Dr.
Frankenstein would have rejected them for his monster? Do you hide them in
athletic shoes and work boots, even at the beach? Though some people with real
bunion problems may need surgery, most people can do a little home make-up on
their calloused and mangy feet to get them sandal ready. After showering, use a
file to strip away the layers of dead skin – if your feet are bad, this may
take several times. You can also use a skin-repairing cream like AmLactin Ultra
Hydrating Body Cream after your shower. Slip your dogs into some cotton socks;
go to sleep, and when you wake up, your feet will be smoother and softer than
ever.

Black the Rays and Enjoy the Sunny
Days

All this grooming won’t do a bit of
good if your skin looks like an alligator-skin purse. Make sure to keep the UVA
rays away from your skin. Using a broad-spectrum SPF moisturizer will keep your
skin looking young and smooth. If your skin is irritated and leathery, the
women won’t notice your sexy stubble, your freshly trimmed mane, your
tantalizing scent, or your fabulous feet – get out in the sun, but stay
protected!
