Reviews: Spring Break Travel

Divorced Dads like to travel differently with their
family. Our members like to mix in a
little Adventure with our Family time. Let SingleDad Travel show you how to get
the most out of your vacation travel. Discover a variety of ways to enjoy your
Single Parent lifestyle and enjoy year- around travel with our travel reviews.
This month, we review Spring Break Travel.

After a cold, dark winter, traveling is one of the best
things you can do for your health, and the warmer, longer days the Spring
brings, can offer the opportunity to shake off that lethargy & get some fun
back in you & your children/s life.

Travel

There is no better way to bond with
your child than by traveling with them. Traveling with kids is the height of
quality time because your time with them is so focused and rich; traveling
offers you the essential opportunity of experiencing life 24/7 with them.

College students can regularly be found flocking to the
beach for Spring Break, but why should they have all the fun? This time of year
is perfect for recharging the batteries & re-energizing for upcoming events.
The holiday season can also be challenging, so a trip in the Spring can also be
seen as a little reward for all the effort expended, and the improved weather
allows for a variety of destinations to come to the fore.

Travel

Overseas or internal travel is all on the agenda, from
taking a cruise-ship for some all-inclusive pampering & entertainment, to
getting back to nature & going camping.
Sunshine, snow, lakes, beaches, mountains, national parks; they are all
options to be explored depending on your preferences, location & budget. Many
resorts offer package deals specific to single-parent travellers now.

There’s nothing like a big-sky and
wide-open-spaces vacation concept with young ones. It teaches them, without
them feeling like they’re being taught, a great respect for their environment.
Ranch/farm stays, renting a cottage or camping offer this and can give you
greater flexibility in terms of where you go & what you do, not to mention
your budget & also doing away with the dreaded "single supplement".

Often you will meet other, like-minded families on these
types of vacations, enabling your &
your child to meet & make friends. The activities available to you, such as
fishing, building a fire & cooking your own catch can be useful for
teaching them some self-sufficiency.

Travel

How about road-tripping? Take your kids on a
road trip, with NO destination in mind. Flip a
coin on which way you go, North, South, East or West it really doesn’t matter.
Make it an excursion and a time of discovery for just you and the kid/s. You’ll
be surprised with what you see close by to where you live, and staying in
random spots with no specific plan allows you a blank canvas from where to
create the stories & memories of your trip.

In summary, Spring Break trips don’t
need to be long, expensive or outrageous. What they do need to be about is
taking a break from your every day life, spending quality time with your kids,
and creating an experience you will all remember & talk about for years to
come.
